ARTICLE OF THE DAY
Miller
Lite Locks

Numbers and trends can drive you crazy when
you’re studying the board trying to find three rock-solid "Miller Lite
Locks". Will "Team X" that’s 6-1 ATS in conference road
games coming off a bye week cover the spread? Will "Team Y"
that’s 4-12 ATS in a dome on Halloween weekend continue its downward
spiral? Sometimes over-analysis can lead you into a straight
jacket and back at the ATM on Monday morning.
Speaking of trends and numbers, how about these numbers on the
Pirates? ECU is 3-4 SU, 6-1 ATS & 0-7 in the coin toss this
year. Wow, 0-7 in the coin toss. You probably have better
odds of winning the lottery than losing the coin toss 7 straight
games. Oh well, let’s focus on the Homecoming game at hand.
ECU has never lost to UCF (4-0 all time) and is a favorite for only the
2nd time this year (ECU was 4 point favorite vs. Rice on October 8th).
In that game, ECU had to put up 17 unanswered points in the 4th quarter
to win and cover. My guess is George O’Leary and the UCF Golden
Knights are not going to allow those kinds of heroics this Saturday,
which means ECU better get up early and stay up to pull off a second
straight home win and cover.
With all that in mind, here are your updated "Miller Lite Standings
& Picks":
Overall Standings:
Eddie King 16-7-1
Ellerbe
